Some people see a problem and complain. Others see a problem and get to work. Mike “Mo” Way is the kind of person who gets to work—and doesn't stop until the job is done!

When graffiti covered our roadways, sidewalks, and underpasses, Mike took it upon himself to persistently work with local government until it was removed. No fanfare, no recognition needed. Just determination and a commitment to making our community better.

And that's only the beginning! Mike is a familiar face at protests and community events, always ready to lend his support. He rolls up his sleeves for our Adopt-A-Street cleanups, registers voters, interviews local election officials, and keeps our members informed about local and national issues.

What makes Mike special isn't just how much he does. It's the kindness, persistence, and quiet leadership he brings to everything he does. He doesn't wait for someone else to take the lead. He sees what needs doing and takes action.

Mike reminds us that community change isn't just about showing up when the crowd gathers. It's about showing up when there's work to be done.

Thank you, Mike, for your generosity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Southeast Texas.
