This month, we are thrilled to spotlight Shannon Heath, a pivotal force behind the growth and success of SETX Impact. From the very start of our protest planning team, Shannon has been instrumental in establishing the systems, safety protocols, and community infrastructure that enable our events to thrive. Her training in Stop the Bleed and de-escalation techniques ensures that our gatherings remain safe and inclusive for all participants. Shannon's dedication extends beyond event planning. Her passion for community service is evident in her participation in community drives as well as leadership of hygiene initiatives for our unhoused neighbors and her readiness to volunteer wherever needed.

Additionally, as a Volunteer Deputy Registrar and Hardin County Precinct Chair, Shannon empowers others to participate actively in democracy. As she eloquently states, "I'm not hopeless anymore. I'm making a difference everywhere I can." With relentless compassion and unwavering determination, Shannon's impact is felt far and wide, and we are deeply grateful for her tireless commitment to making a positive change.
