This month, we're not spotlighting one member. We're recognizing an entire team of people who have been doing some of the most important work Impact does.

Since the beginning of SETX Impact Initiative in 2024, our Volunteer Deputy Registrar team, under the guidance of Abigail Morales, has consistently shown up to register voters, answer questions, and help people feel prepared to participate in our democracy.

But during this September, they took that commitment to another level. As part of our GOTV effort, this team has been everywhere—crossing Southeast Texas to meet voters where they are. They've battled the heat, given up evenings and weekends, and kept showing up.

But this work is bigger than registration. It's helping voters become informed, engaged, and confident—one conversation at a time. They are building a community of connected voters.

To Abigail and our entire VDR team: thank you for your time, sacrifice, and relentless commitment. This is what showing up looks like.
